Jaydog now has all his parts for the next buildup. I've taken several pics yesterday and now I'm ready to put them up. The cyl head work is done. I've spent several hrs porting and polishing the exhaust runners and combustion chamber. I finished the exhaust side first and started the intake with pics. For now, I'm not showing the finished intake ports. It's a secret...The block and cyl. head are going to the machine shop soon. The work won't be significant so I should have everything back in my hands within 1 to 2 weeks at the most.
Machine work:
bore block
micropolish crank
balance rotating assembly
clean block
set ring end gap
deck block if needed
Cyl. head work:
re-cut valve seats
re-surface head
clean/rebuild lifters
assemble valvetrain (valves, springs, seats, retainers and keepers)
Right now I have:
JE pistons 1mm oversize, JE rings
Carillo con rods
standard bearings
ARP head studs
Gates racing (blue) T. belt
Supertech valves, dual valve springs and
titanium retainers
Ported and polished cyl. head.

The block and rotating assembly is now at Goza machine in Acworth. I took everything else that needed work as well. I should have the block back within a week and will post pics as soon as it's back in my hands. _________________ 94 (Mazdaspeed) RS-T

Goza finished up the machine work on Thursday and I was able to pick it up during my lunch hr. The total for all machine work spent was expensive, however Tommy did an excellent, perfect job. I am pleased that the time was short to do all the work. About 1 week and $679 later.
Here some pics that I took on Friday and Sat. I had a chance to put some of it together.
The crank, crank pulley and some of the other misc. stuff for the bottom end.
The pistons and rods put together on Sat. morning.
The block freshly painted black on Thursday afternoon.
The crankshaft after being polished.
The Mx-3 parts getting ready to be pulled off the shelf for GOOD!
The block awaiting the crankshaft.
The crankshaft tightened down and oil clearances checked.
More pics on the way... _________________ 94 (Mazdaspeed) RS-T
