The hatch cover is made of 3 layers of cross lain fiberglass. They are carpeted in BLACK carpet ONLY. They also come with all the necessary hardware, installed, to mount them just like the stock unit was. The only difference in these and the stock ones is that these will be a slight bit heavier (a few ounces at most) and be WAY more durable. The mold is a compression type to keep air bubles to a minimum and the fiberglass will bond together much stronger. The mold takes easily ten times as long to make, but the finished product is worth the extra time.
I am sorry, but black is currently the only color available. The taupe color is too hard to match.
The price is 125.00 plus shipping and insurance. All products will be shipped UPS, so if you would like a quote you can go to their web site and find the cost to go from zip code 30189 to your zip code.
OEM Hatch Cover
125.00 USD
3 Layer Fiberglass
All hardware
Black carpet only
A few pics of the ones I make and a really good condition stock version to compare to. The pics have been shrunk to save space on MOCAs picture server, but if you'd like a full resolution version please email me and I'll send you a copy of all three.
This pic is the OEM on the right and mine on the left. Note that my carpet has a slightly higher pile (taller carpet threads) and is darker (true black) but matches the interior perfectly.
This is the profile shot of my hatch cover showing the exact same structure of the OEM one.
Finally the installed shot showing perfect fit. Note that the cover hangs past the upper plastic on the rear bumper side. This is also the same on the OEM version. I'm not sure why Mazda made it to hang over a bit, but since I molded off of a Mazda cover mine hangs over a bit also.
PS, I am currently working on other projects that will be reproducable, so check back often to see if there are any new products.[img][/img] _________________

I think that I will order one next month if that's okay.....
the stock ones are junk IMO.
on my stock one, the tabs that keep the front break. It will be nice to have something covering the back hatch area for when I put subs back there.
would you ship to canada?(alberta) _________________ mx-3 GS

I will ship to Canada via USPS only. Their customs forms and duties are alot less than UPS or Fed-Ex. It is the X-Mas season so let me know when you have the money and we will talk about how long it will take me to build one and ship it. _________________

Ps, could you send me a MOCA sticker at the same time ?
I like the looks of it on your white mx-3(mine is white also)
Also, it would be good to support these rare(sorta) cars! _________________ mx-3 GS
