MOCA!! What is the plan this week.l; are we going to actually finish Perry's spoiler? work on my cornhole boards? puss out from the heat and just drink beer?

How about some actual car stuff?

We are picking up Alison's 1997 Honda Civic DX today and It is in need of a few things.

Has 108K miles... Dont know if when these were replaced:
~Timing Belt
~Tensioner
~Water Pump
~Spark Plugs
~Spark Plug Wires

Also needs a Driver side axle and the Oil changed.

I will order the timing belt kit tonight, but it will not be here for about a week.

Can we do the Plugs & Wires and Axle this Thursday and MAYBE the timing belt/water pump next week?

Is the Belt & water pump something we can do on a MOCA night?

Also, a general look-over of the car was done by CarMax, but I'd like for us to do a more detailed inspection...

uh yeah.

We overlooked the cosmetic stuff. it was supposed to be a beater, so that was fine.

We had them look over the car and inspect it before buying and before spending the money for the repairs in order to buy it.

4:20- leave CarMax, head to Alan Cox to get oil Change on Carmax's recommendation
4:25- Car begins to overheat at redlight.
4:26- Car is okay while moving, so I figure it might be a fan or something not kicking on.
4:30- make it to Alan Cox and beg them to take it in for an Oil Change (they close at 5:00) and mention car was overheating.
4:35- Car pulled into service bay, temp redlining.
4:36- hood popped, overflow tank is checked, full of chocolate milkshake.

Car has a blown headgasket.

Was able to return the car to CarMax after Alan Cox filled Radiator with coolant.
